Laser-Cut Packaging Detail: Define the Apertures and the Remaining Panel

A laser-cut packaging brief should define both the intended apertures and the panel remaining around them. Review the cut detail with the printed artwork and the contents on the proposed finished sample.

Mark the cut areas clearly

Identify the openings or motifs to be cut and the areas that remain solid. Keep cut lines distinct from printed graphics. The dark decorative packaging examples provide an appearance reference, with practical detail confirmed for the proposed material.

Review the panel with the contents

Check visibility through the openings and the relationship to the item inside. Review edges, folds and nearby practical information. Confirm the material, support and any required evaluation for the intended application.

Approve artwork and construction together

Compare the completed panel with the intended cut design and assembled shape. Record the accepted sample and cut-file version. If the structure or material changes, review the cut detail again on the revised proposal.
