Repeat-Use Folding Boxes: Define the Intended Opening and Refolding Cycle

A repeat-use folding box needs an explicit use sequence. Describe how the package is opened, emptied, folded and stored, then agree how the proposed construction will be evaluated for that intended cycle.

Describe the intended reuse

State what the recipient or packing team will do after the first opening. Explain whether the pack is retained assembled, folded for storage or filled again. Keep this requirement distinct from environmental claims about material disposal.

Review the repeated movement

Walk through the intended sequence with the sample. Observe folds, closures, surface appearance and any removable components after the agreed repetitions. Define the evaluation for the proposed design without assuming an unlimited or universal cycle count.

Record the accepted configuration

Keep the construction, materials and intended use sequence in the specification. Document the observations or results required for approval. If closures, surfaces or folds change, review the repeat-use requirement again with the revised sample.
